SoFi Survey Finds 75% of US Investors Use AI
SoFi reports that 75% of U.S. investors use artificial intelligence for financial guidance, though most still verify AI-generated insights with other sources.
SoFi conducted a survey of 1,000 U.S. adults revealing that 75% of investors now use artificial intelligence for investing-related questions. The data shows high engagement among these users, with 84% utilizing AI tools weekly and 86% making actual investing decisions based on AI-generated insights.
ChatGPT is the most popular tool at 53% usage, followed by Google Gemini at 28%. Investors primarily employ these technologies to research stocks, compare investment options, and analyze risk. Privacy serves as a primary driver for adoption, as 48% of users report feeling uncomfortable asking other people financial questions.
Despite the high adoption rate, trust in the technology remains limited. Only 26% of users trust AI a lot, and 74% frequently or always verify information with external sources. Concerns regarding privacy risks and inaccurate information have led many investors to prefer hybrid solutions that combine AI tools with human expertise.
