LG Electronics India Net Profit Rises 27.2 Percent

LG Electronics India reported a 27.2 percent increase in first-quarter net profit, triggering a surge in share prices on August 14.

LG Electronics India Ltd reported a 27.2 percent increase in net profit to ₹652.86 crore for the June quarter of FY27, up from ₹513.25 crore the previous year. Revenue from operations rose 15.5 percent to ₹7,233.35 crore, driven by a consumer shift toward energy-efficient, higher-value products and premium demand in home entertainment, specifically premium TVs.

The company's Home Entertainment segment led growth at 22.28 percent, while Home Appliance and Air Solutions grew 13.61 percent through strong sales of refrigerators, washing machines, and air conditioners. EBITDA rose 26.2 percent to ₹904 crore, with margins expanding to 12.5 percent due to operating leverage and a premium product mix.

Shares of the company surged between 7.90 percent and 8.58 percent on August 14 following the announcement. In response, Nuvama Institutional Equities raised its 12-month target price for the stock to ₹1,910. LG Electronics India maintains a positive outlook for FY27, targeting mid-teen revenue growth and early double-digit EBITDA margins through localization and pricing discipline as it prepares for the festive season and B2B expansion.
