KKR Closes Record $19.2 Billion Global Infrastructure Fund
KKR raised $19.2 billion for its largest-ever infrastructure fund, targeting digital and energy assets across North America and Western Europe.
Global investment firm KKR & Co. Inc. closed its largest-ever infrastructure fund, KKR Global Infrastructure Investors V, raising $19.2 billion. The Core+ fund targets critical assets in North America and Western Europe, focusing on sectors with high barriers to entry and stable long-term cash flows. This closing is part of a broader $45 billion raised across the firm's latest global infrastructure vehicles.
The fund specifically targets digital infrastructure, such as AI data centers and fiber optics, alongside the energy transition and logistics. KKR has already committed more than $9 billion of the capital to investments including FiberCop, Metronet, Gulf Data Hub, Sempra Infrastructure, EDF Power Solutions North America, and Global Technical Realty. The fundraise was supported by a global investor base of sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, and pension plans.
KKR executives stated the strategy leverages digitalization, electrification, and industrial growth. The firm's infrastructure business, established in 2008, now manages approximately $120 billion in equity. The firm aims to support European economic resilience and energy security while capitalizing on accelerating industrial growth in North America.
