SpaceX Reports $2.6 Billion AI Revenue in First Public Call

Elon Musk detailed SpaceX's expansion into the AI data center market during the company's first public earnings call on August 5, 2026. The company reported $2.6 billion in AI revenue for the second quarter and $14.1 billion in contracted cloud services, following an investment of nearly $16 billion in AI infrastructure during that period.

Musk stated that SpaceX's aerospace engineering expertise provides a decisive advantage in scaling terrestrial data centers, comparing the company's lead to the New York Yankees playing a Little League team. To build its computing platform, SpaceX is partnering with Nvidia Corporation to utilize the Vera Rubin architecture exclusively.

SpaceX currently maintains 1.4 gigawatts of nameplate compute. The company aims to exceed 2 gigawatts by the end of 2026 and has set a tentative target of 20 gigawatts by the end of 2027.
