Levi Strauss & Co. Appoints John Vandemore as CFO

Levi Strauss & Co. hired former Skechers CFO John Vandemore to lead its financial strategy and help the company reach $10 billion in revenue.

Levi Strauss & Co. appointed John Vandemore as its new executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective November 1. Vandemore joins the San Francisco-based company following a nine-year tenure as CFO of Skechers USA Inc., where he contributed to growing the footwear brand's revenue to over $9 billion.

He succeeds Harmit Singh, who announced his retirement in April. CEO Michelle Gass stated that Vandemore's experience makes him the ideal partner to help the company realize its ambition of becoming a $10 billion company. The company reported revenues of $6.3 billion last year and currently operates 3,300 stores and shops-in-shop across 120 countries.

Gass intends for Vandemore to support the company's transition into a direct-to-consumer denim lifestyle retailer, specifically focusing on building out the retail, women's, and tops businesses. Vandemore expressed his excitement to join the team and contribute to strengthening consumer connections and accelerating profitable growth.
