India Conducts Joint Military Exercises With United States and Indonesia

India launched Exercise Tiger Triumph 2026 with the United States in Visakhapatnam and entered the final validation phase of Exercise Garuda Shakti 2026 in Indonesia.

The Indian Armed Forces are conducting simultaneous bilateral military exercises with the United States and Indonesia to enhance regional stability and operational interoperability. In Visakhapatnam, India, the fifth edition of Exercise Tiger Triumph 2026 began on November 2. This joint effort focuses on humanitarian assistance, disaster response, and integrated multi-domain command and control, with new synchronization across cyber and space domains.

Concurrently, special forces from the Indian Army's Parachute Regiment and the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD) entered the final validation phase of Exercise Garuda Shakti 2026 in East Java on November 3. This 48-hour phase tests elite troops in marksmanship, heli-borne operations, and combat tracking within harsh jungle terrain. The Indonesian exercise follows training that began October 27 in Banyuwangi, utilizing drones for surveillance and reconnaissance.

Military leaders described these engagements as practical expressions of strategic partnerships. U.S. and Indian officials noted that Tiger Triumph reinforces the U.S.-India Major Defense Partnership, while the Garuda Shakti validation aims to cement tactical gains for complex joint missions.
