Aldi UK Closes All Stores on Boxing Day and New Year
Aldi UK will close all stores nationwide on December 25, December 26, and January 1 to allow employees to rest and spend time with family.
Aldi UK will close all of its stores across the country for three days during the upcoming holiday season. The budget retailer announced that all branches will shut on December 25, December 26, and January 1, 2027.
The decision to close on Boxing Day is intended to provide employees a break and a chance to spend time with family following the Christmas shopping rush. The company described the closure as a gesture of gratitude for the hard work staff put in during the festive period.
Stores will reopen to the public on Sunday, December 27, 2026, and again on Saturday, January 2, 2027. While the holiday closures are fixed, some branches may extend their trading hours in the days leading up to Christmas to accommodate shoppers.
