A former senior software quality engineer at Adobe Inc. has transitioned to driving a school bus in Colorado after spending more than a year unsuccessfully seeking a new role in the technology sector. Strawn, who was laid off in 2025, reported applying for over 100 positions but received only one interview despite possessing 25 years of industry experience.

Strawn alleged that age discrimination contributed to his inability to secure employment. While the transition to driving a school bus represents a significant financial decrease compared to his previous salary, he stated he is looking forward to the work.
