NDC Chairman Urges Unity After Constituency Elections
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah called on National Democratic Congress aspirants to accept election results peacefully and prioritize party unity over individual victories.
National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah urged aspirants in the National Democratic Congress constituency executive elections to accept results peacefully and maintain party unity. Speaking at the Ketu North Constituency Delegates Conference in Weta on October 25, 2026, Nketiah emphasized that the party's ability to reconcile after the exercise is more critical than the identity of the winners.
Nketiah explained that he deliberately avoided attending constituency elections nationwide to maintain neutrality. He stated this approach was necessary to prevent the perception of favoring specific candidates, which in turn ensures his ability to reconcile members after the polls.
Addressing unsuccessful candidates, Nketiah urged them not to view their defeat as a rejection by the party, noting that only one person can hold a position at a time. He expressed confidence that the NDC would emerge stronger if members remained committed and worked together.
