Denza Unveils Z Electric Supercar at Goodwood Festival of Speed

Denza launched the Z electric supercar in three variants featuring a tri-motor powertrain and 1,579 bhp at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The premium BYD group brand Denza unveiled the Z electric supercar during the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The vehicle enters the market in three distinct variants: a standard coupe, a Spider convertible, and a track-focused Racing model. All versions are powered by a tri-motor powertrain delivering 1,579 bhp and utilize a 76 kWh second-generation BYD blade battery.

The Racing model serves as the high-performance flagship, achieving 0-62 mph in 1.96 seconds and reaching a top speed of 217 mph. Technical specifications across the lineup include DiSus-M magnetorheological dampers and 1,500 kW flash charging technology.

In the UK, pricing begins at £142,900 for the coupe, £159,900 for the Spider, and £172,900 for the Racing model. Denza will open order books in late summer 2026, with deliveries scheduled for the end of the year. Daniel Cabanillas Barea, Denza's Head of Product, positioned the brand as a premium competitor to traditional German manufacturers, intended to introduce new technologies that eventually integrate into the broader BYD group.
