Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta Celebrates Raksha Bandhan With Children

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta hosted children, including street youth, at the Mukhyamantri Jan Sewa Sadan on August 28 to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. During the event, children tied rakhis to the Chief Minister, who assured them of government initiatives to support their education, well-being, and personal aspirations. Some of the street children in attendance had recently been admitted to schools under the Chief Minister's directions.

Gupta also celebrated the festival with school children from across the city on Thursday. In a separate event on Wednesday, Education Minister Ashish Sood interacted with students who tied rakhis to him.

These celebrations occurred alongside the recent launch of the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana. This government scheme provides eligible women with monthly financial assistance of Rs 2,500 via Direct Benefit Transfer to promote financial independence.
