Meta Plans $20 Billion Bond Sale for AI Infrastructure
Meta Platforms Incorporated plans to raise at least $20 billion through cross-border bond offerings to fund the expansion of its artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Meta Platforms Incorporated is planning to raise at least $20 billion through a potential cross-border bond offering to fund the expansion of its artificial intelligence infrastructure. The company engaged Citigroup and Morgan Stanley to conduct investor calls on November 2 and 3 to gauge market demand.
The proposed debt sale includes dollar bonds with maturities ranging from 5 to 30 years and euro offerings spanning 4 to over 38 years. While the final size of the offering remains undecided, the company may increase the amount based on investor interest.
This bond sale follows a series of significant equity raises. These include a $25 billion common-stock offering, a $12.5 billion offering of mandatory convertible preferred shares, and a program to raise up to $60 billion through at-the-market share sales.
