SanDisk Corporation Authorizes $15.5 Billion Share Repurchase Program
SanDisk Corporation approved a $14 billion increase to its share buyback program following a massive revenue surge driven by AI infrastructure demand.
SanDisk Corporation authorized an additional $14 billion share repurchase program, bringing its total remaining buyback authorization to $15.5 billion. The program allows the company to retire approximately 8.6% of its outstanding shares, funded by operating cash flows that reached $11.7 billion in fiscal 2026.
The buyback follows a period of rapid financial growth fueled by artificial intelligence infrastructure demand for NAND flash storage. Fiscal 2026 revenue rose 175% to $20.2 billion, while net income shifted from a $1.6 billion loss to $11.4 billion. The company also secured ten New Business Model agreements involving $2.5 billion in upfront customer payments.
Management provided revenue guidance for the first quarter of fiscal 2027 between $10.3 billion and $10.8 billion. While the company intends to proceed with the repurchases, it noted that the buyback program can be suspended at any time.
