Apple Plans Major iPad Refresh for Early 2027

Apple plans to refresh three iPad models during the first half of 2027, according to reports from Bloomberg. The updates are expected to occur during the company's typical spring event window between March and May, following the October 2026 release of the eighth-generation iPad mini.

The next-generation iPad Pro will likely feature an M6 chip and a vapor chamber cooling system, a first for the iPad line, designed to manage heat during gaming and intensive AI tasks. The iPad Air is expected to transition to OLED display technology and incorporate an M5 chip.

Additionally, a new entry-level model, internally called the iPad 12, is expected to feature the A19 chip. This hardware upgrade would allow the base model to support Apple Intelligence features for the first time.
