Nvidia and Salesforce Shares Surge After Quarterly Earnings Beats
Major technology companies including Nvidia, Salesforce, and Okta saw stock prices jump after reporting second-quarter financial results that exceeded analyst expectations.
Nvidia and several other major technology firms experienced significant after-hours stock price gains on August 26, 2026, following the release of second-quarter financial results. Nvidia shares rose 4% after the company reported revenue of $96.22 billion and adjusted earnings of $2.22 per share, both of which surpassed analyst expectations.
Other software and cybersecurity firms saw even sharper increases. Salesforce shares surged 12% on revenue of $11.35 billion, while Okta shares jumped 19% after beating revenue and earnings expectations and raising its full-year guidance. CrowdStrike Holdings shares increased 10% following a beat on consensus revenue and earnings per share. Gains were also recorded for Veeva Systems, Agilent Technologies, and Everpure.
Retail and engineering sectors saw mixed results. Urban Outfitters shares fell 3% despite reporting earnings and revenue in line with consensus. Similarly, Synopsys shares declined 2% even as the company raised its annual profit and revenue forecasts.
