Suzlon Group Invests ₹10,000 Crore in Andhra Pradesh Wind Projects

Suzlon Group is investing ₹10,000 crore to expand its renewable energy operations in Andhra Pradesh, focusing on the development of 1,325 MW of new wind projects in the Rayadurgam Assembly constituency of Anantapur district. The company aims to develop a total of 5,000 MW of additional renewable energy capacity in the state by 2030. These new developments are expected to create 4,000 direct and indirect jobs.

As part of this expansion, Minister Nara Lokesh is scheduled to inaugurate new S144 blade production lines at Huliker village on August 25, 2026. Suzlon has invested ₹12,000 crore in the state since 2004, and its Ippuru facility currently produces 40 percent of the company's blades. The company is collaborating with clean energy partners, including Tata Power and Waaree Energy, to execute these projects.

Beyond infrastructure, Suzlon and the Government of Andhra Pradesh are jointly operating a green skills development programme. Through learning centres in Vijayawada and Uravakonda, the initiative aims to train 12,000 young professionals, with women comprising 25 percent of the trainees.
