Iran Military Vows Defeats for US and Israel

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a joint statement on September 21, 2026, warning foreign aggressors of further defeats. Released during Sacred Defence Week to commemorate the 46th anniversary of the Iran-Iraq War, the military leadership vowed to protect the nation's territorial integrity and national interests against the United States and Israel.

Iranian military officials claimed that indigenous defense technologies and lessons from the 1980–1988 conflict have shifted regional security equations in favor of the Islamic Ummah. The statement asserted that Iranian forces have already damaged U.S. and Israeli military and security infrastructure in West Asia and have seized management of the Strait of Hormuz. The leadership characterized the United States as arrogant and the Israeli government as a criminal, child-killing Zionist regime.

Beyond physical conflict, the military warned that the population must withstand hybrid, economic, cognitive, and media warfare. The statement reaffirmed that the Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, and other security forces will continue to safeguard the state. These declarations follow regional instability involving missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia, which prompted the United States to issue security warnings to its citizens in West Asia.
