Pfizer Reports Q2 Results Amid Drug Trial Failure
Pfizer Inc. reports second-quarter financial results on August 5 facing declining revenues and a failed Phase 3 oncology drug trial.
Pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc. is scheduled to report its second-quarter financial results on Tuesday, August 5, 2026. Analysts project earnings of $0.68 per share on revenue of $14.41 billion, representing a 13% drop in earnings and a 1.6% decrease in revenue compared to the same period last year.
The company is navigating several significant headwinds, including a decline in sales for its Covid-19 products and a $1.5 billion revenue loss resulting from product patent expirations. Adding to these challenges, Pfizer experienced a Phase 3 trial failure in late June for the oncology drug sigvotatug vedotin.
Investors are monitoring whether the company can sustain its 6.9% dividend yield. To offset pipeline setbacks, Pfizer is relying on the performance of assets including Padcev, Vyndaqel, and Ibrance. The company also remains focused on the anticoagulant Eliquis, which saw 22% sales growth according to reports from its partner, Bristol Myers Squibb.
