Hailo Technologies Launches Hailo-10H Generative AI Edge Processor
Hailo Technologies released the Hailo-10H AI accelerator chip to bring generative AI performance to edge devices without requiring cloud connectivity.
Hailo Technologies Ltd. announced the general and commercial availability of the Hailo-10H, a second-generation discrete AI accelerator chip designed for edge devices. The processor provides native support for generative AI workloads, including large language models and vision-language models, allowing them to run entirely on-device. This local processing capability is intended to improve data privacy, lower cloud bandwidth costs, and maintain functionality in environments with limited internet access.
The chip operates at a typical power draw of 2.5 watts and delivers 40 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of INT4 performance and 20 TOPS of INT8 performance. HP Inc. is already integrating the technology into its AI Accelerator M.2 Card for use in commercial PCs, workstations, and point-of-sale services. The chip is also targeted for sectors including telecommunications, retail, and security.
Additionally, the Hailo-10H is automotive-qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 2 standards. The company targets a 2026 production start for automotive systems, specifically for applications such as driver monitoring units and cockpit systems. Hailo has secured significant venture capital to date, with total funding reports ranging between $340 million and $564 million.
