Pharming Group CEO Fabrice Chouraqui Steps Down

Fabrice Chouraqui stepped down as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Pharming Group N.V. on September 29, 2026. The biotechnology company stated the departure followed a mutual agreement between Chouraqui and the Board of Directors after discussions showed their views on executing strategic priorities were not sufficiently aligned.

To maintain continuity, the Board appointed Chief Commercial Officer Leverne Marsh and Chief Financial Officer Kenneth Lynard as Interim Co-CEOs. Marsh is tasked with managing patient-focused operations, while Lynard will oversee global corporate functions. Pharming has launched a formal search for a permanent successor.

The company, which develops medicines for rare immune and genetic diseases, stated that its pipeline and commitment to patients remain unchanged. Richard Peters expressed appreciation for Chouraqui's contributions on behalf of the Board, while Chouraqui described leading the company as a privilege.
