CB&I Secures Well Engineering Contract for Abu Dhabi Offshore Block 4

The Asset Solutions business of CB&I secured a well engineering services contract with Cosmo E&P Albahriya Limited to support operations at Offshore Block 4 in Abu Dhabi. The agreement encompasses drilling, engineering, planning, and operational activities for the site, which Cosmo E&P Albahriya obtained during the emirate's second competitive bidding round for oil and gas exploration.

Cosmo E&P Albahriya is a United Arab Emirates-based subsidiary of the Japanese firm Cosmo Energy Holdings Company. The partnership leverages the regional wells capability of CB&I to facilitate the exploration journey of the operator. CB&I intends to use the contract to expand its footprint in the Middle East and strengthen relationships with regional operators while focusing on safe and environmentally conscious production.

John Pearson, the Chief Operating Officer of CB&I Asset Solutions, stated that the UAE remains a growth market for the business as part of a broader strategy to expand services in selected geographies. Hisato Ishii, General Manager of Cosmo E&P Albahriya Limited, noted the value of the expertise provided by CB&I to execute the campaign safely and efficiently.
