Analysts Clash Over SpaceX Valuation After June IPO

Financial experts are divided over the valuation of Space Exploration Technologies Corp. as its stock remains volatile following a June 2026 public offering.

Financial analysts and investors are sharply divided over the valuation of Space Exploration Technologies Corp. following its initial public offering in June 2026. The company's stock remains volatile, currently trading 17% below its first-day closing price.

Morgan Stanley maintains a bullish outlook with a price target of $300. The investment bank argues that the company can create a unique infrastructure stack by linking orbital real estate, global connectivity, and compute capacity to drive AI growth. However, this optimistic forecast depends on the successful deployment of the Starship rocket and the acquisition of significant new capital. Morgan Stanley's bear case predicts a price of $75 if AI monetization fails to meet expectations.

In contrast, investor Michael Burry argues the stock is overvalued. He states that a $2.8 trillion market cap is unjustified given that the company's total revenue is less than $20 billion. While a majority of Wall Street analysts hold buy ratings with a consensus price target of $250, other firms like The Motley Fool recommend the stock but have excluded it from their top 10 best stocks list.
