Southern California Counties Expand Vote Centers for General Election

Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties opened hundreds of additional vote centers and drop boxes to facilitate early voting for the November 3 general election.

Election officials across Southern California significantly expanded early voting access on October 31 ahead of the November 3 general election. In Los Angeles County, Dean C. Logan announced the opening of 523 additional Vote Centers, bringing the countywide total to 646. These centers operate daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with extended hours on Election Day, and are supported by 429 official ballot drop boxes.

Riverside County similarly increased its capacity by opening 131 additional vote centers on Saturday, raising its total to 152. Voters there can utilize Dominion touchscreen electronic voting machines or paper ballots, with over 100 secure drop boxes available since early October. In San Bernardino County, the Registrar of Voters opened 10 additional early voting locations on October 29, including sites in Victorville, Apple Valley, and Adelanto.

The Secretary of State of California has mandated that all ballots must be postmarked or received by Tuesday, November 3, to be counted. Officials in Los Angeles and Riverside counties continue to encourage voters to use the expanded network of centers and drop boxes to avoid Election Day crowds.
