Adamu Garba Withdraws From Politics to Lead AI Enterprise
Adamu Garba announced his withdrawal from active politics to focus exclusively on his leadership roles at IPI Group Limited.
Former presidential aspirant Adamu Garba announced his withdrawal from active politics on Tuesday, stating he will now focus exclusively on his responsibilities as Executive Chairman and Chief Platform Architect of IPI Group Limited.
In a statement shared via X, Garba explained that the technical demands of leading his AI-First enterprise cannot be balanced with heavy political participation without one or the other suffering. He expressed a desire to dedicate his attention to strengthening society through technology for the benefit of his country and the continent.
Garba previously sought the presidential nomination of the All Progressives Congress in 2019 and 2023. He withdrew from the 2022 contest, citing the N100 million cost of nomination forms as a barrier that commercializes politics and excludes less-wealthy youth. Following that decision, he pledged to return approximately N83.2 million in campaign donations.
