Indian Ambassador Anjani Kumar Presents Credentials in Kyiv

Indian Ambassador Anjani Kumar presented a copy of his credentials to Ukraine's Deputy Foreign Minister Olexandr Mischenko at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kyiv on August 10, 2026. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations, specifically through enhanced inter-parliamentary cooperation, humanitarian engagement, and economic ties between the two nations' business communities.

During the discussions, the officials reviewed the progress of agreements established during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Ukraine on August 23, 2024. This diplomatic appointment follows a meeting on August 7, 2026, at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, where President Droupadi Murmu provided Kumar with his credentials and guidance.

Kumar previously served as a Joint Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs before his appointment to the mission in Ukraine.
