APC Completes 2027 Candidate Uploads Ahead of INEC Deadline

The All Progressives Congress completed the 100 percent upload of its candidates for the 2027 general elections to the Independent National Electoral Commission portal on August 7, 2026. National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda announced that the party submitted details for 56 governorship and deputy governorship candidates and 1,015 State House of Assembly candidates.

By finishing the process before the original August 8 deadline, the party distinguished itself from other political organizations that required more time. Following these submissions, the Independent National Electoral Commission extended the overall deadline for all parties to August 11, 2026.

Yilwatda characterized the early completion as a sign of the party's organizational strength and discipline. With the nomination phase concluded, the party intends to shift its focus toward campaign coordination, voter mobilization, and promoting the achievements of President Bola Tinubu's administration.
