Sioux Falls Implements Multi-Day Road Closures for Infrastructure Repairs

The City of Sioux Falls scheduled a series of road closures and lane restrictions from July 20 to July 22 to conduct various infrastructure repairs.

The City of Sioux Falls initiated a series of road closures and lane restrictions between July 20 and July 22, 2026, to facilitate critical infrastructure repairs across the city. Project durations vary from single-day closures to work lasting approximately four weeks.

Beginning July 20, officials closed South Glendale Avenue between West 22nd and West 24th Streets for storm drainage repairs and restricted the outside westbound lane of West 12th Street east of Grange Avenue for similar work. On July 21, the city closed the outside eastbound lane of East 69th Street, the outside northbound lane of South Cliff Avenue for sidewalk repairs, and East 13th Street at Cleveland Avenue for curb ramp repairs.

On July 22, utility work necessitated the closure of the outside eastbound lane of West 57th Street between 469th Avenue and South Culbert Avenue. The municipal government managed these projects and provided public information to coordinate traffic flow during the repairs.
