FC Barcelona and the FC Barcelona Foundation launched a fundraising campaign to provide humanitarian aid following a 7.4 magnitude earthquake in Colombia. The disaster struck the Chocó department, a region already burdened by poverty and armed conflict, causing hundreds of casualties and destroying housing and infrastructure.
The FC Barcelona Foundation provided an initial donation of 100,000 euros to support partner humanitarian organizations operating on the ground. To expand the relief effort, the club implemented a solidarity round-up mechanism at its facilities, enabling fans to make voluntary contributions when purchasing museum entries or match tickets.
Collected funds are designated for emergency assistance, healthcare, clean water, and child protection for the affected populations in the Chocó region.
