Ishaq Dar Leads Pakistan Delegation to SCO Meeting
Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Kyrgyzstan to lead the national delegation at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Foreign Ministers meeting.
Ishaq Dar, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, arrived in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic, on July 23, 2026, to lead the Pakistani delegation at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting. Dar traveled to the summit from Manila, Philippines, where he had previously attended the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum.
Upon his arrival, Dar was received by Kyrgyz Deputy Foreign Minister Kairat Tursunkulov and the Pakistani ambassador to Kyrgyzstan. The visit includes an informal dinner with other SCO foreign ministers on July 23 to exchange views and discuss the agenda before the formal Council of Foreign Ministers meeting on July 24.
Dar is scheduled to engage in bilateral discussions with counterparts from SCO member states. These talks will focus on regional cooperation, trade, security, and connectivity.
