Exus Renewables Acquires 715 Megawatts of Solar Projects

Exus Renewables North America acquired four large-scale solar projects in Louisiana and Wisconsin from ibV Energy Partners, adding approximately 715 megawatts of solar capacity to its portfolio. The deal includes the Maple Grove Solar 1 and 2 projects in Wisconsin and the Bayou Teche and Bayou Chicot Solar projects in Louisiana.

The acquisition targets regions where data center expansion is currently outpacing available power generation. ibV Energy Partners spent roughly five years securing grid connections for these sites with the Midcontinent Independent System Operator before the sale. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Exus CEO Jim Spencer stated the company is negotiating offtake agreements with utilities and Big Tech hyperscalers, with expectations to finalize these deals within four to six weeks.
