Oracle Urges FERC to Expedite New Mexico Gas Pipeline
Oracle Corp. requested that federal regulators fast-track the approval of a natural gas pipeline to power its Project Jupiter data center in New Mexico.
Oracle Corp. requested that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission expedite the approval of a natural gas pipeline necessary to power Project Jupiter, a large-scale data center project in New Mexico. In a letter sent Tuesday, the company warned that continued delays to the pipeline's approval threaten the project's operational timeline.
The proposed pipeline is to be operated by a subsidiary of Energy Transfer LP. Oracle stated that the delay jeopardizes not only the facility's launch but also the associated job creation and economic benefits intended for the local community.
Josh Pitcock, Oracle's senior vice president of government affairs, authored the request to regulators, stating that "time remains of the essence."
