Gordon Ramsay Restaurants Reports Record £151.8 Million Global Sales

Gordon Ramsay Restaurants achieved record global sales of £151.8 million, though its UK operations continued to report losses despite reaching £100 million in sales.

Gordon Ramsay Restaurants reported record global sales of £151.8 million, representing a 7% year-on-year increase. Underlying group profits rose 12% to £14.4 million, bolstered by the release of a Netflix documentary and the opening of the group's 100th restaurant at 22 Bishopsgate in London.

While the UK arm's sales topped £100 million for the first time, the domestic business remained unprofitable. The UK operation reported a loss of £5.8 million, an improvement from the £9.4 million loss recorded the previous year. Due to these results, the group did not pay a dividend to shareholders.

To drive future growth, the company is prioritizing international expansion through franchise agreements and licensed partnerships. This strategy focuses heavily on the United States, where the business is co-owned with Lion Capital. Chief Executive Andy Wenlock stated that the company remains positive about the UK market, which he described as being full of opportunity and talent.
