Alina Habba Mildon Accuses Richard Grenell of Misallocating Millions
Alina Habba Mildon accused Richard Grenell of misdirecting $17.6 million, including funds intended for the Kennedy Center, prompting a White House investigation.
Former personal lawyer to President Donald Trump Alina Habba Mildon accused Richard Grenell, a former special envoy to Venezuela, of misallocating millions of dollars during a meeting in the Oval Office. Mildon alleged that her husband, Turkish investor Turhan Mildon, transferred $17.6 million in May 2025 under Grenell's direction. She specifically claimed that $5.6 million of those funds were intended for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts but never arrived.
Richard Grenell denied the accusations as absurd, stating he never solicited funds for the center nor received payments from Turhan Mildon. The dispute is tied to a larger conflict among Trump allies seeking influence and assets in Venezuela. A disputed text message suggests Grenell intended for Turhan Mildon to serve as the American face in Venezuela.
White House counsel Will Scharf is currently investigating the financial claims. Simultaneously, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is conducting an internal review of its pledges and funds to determine if the missing money was ever promised or received.
