Traffic Management CEO Flies Stunts in Top Gun: Maverick

Jonathan Spano, CEO of Traffic Management Inc, transitioned from a childhood dream of becoming a Navy pilot to performing aerial stunts for the film Top Gun: Maverick. After poor eyesight disqualified him from military flight, Spano co-founded Traffic Management Inc in 1995, eventually building it into the largest privately held traffic control company in the United States with daily revenues exceeding $1 million.

Spano leveraged his business wealth to fund extensive flight training and a seven-figure modification of an Embraer Phenom 300 jet. After obtaining certification from the Federal Aviation Administration to equip the aircraft with specialized camera systems, he flew many of the jet-to-jet and aircraft carrier sequences in the film. His contributions to the production earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award for stunts.

Following the success of the second film, Spano is currently in discussions with the director regarding a role in the third Top Gun movie, which is scheduled for production in 2027.
