Pakistan Offers to Broker Peace Between Iran and United States

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations, announced that Pakistan is committed to a negotiated and peaceful resolution of the conflict between Iran and the United States. In an interview with CNN, Chaudhry described Pakistan as an "honest broker" working to prevent the conflict from expanding horizontally or vertically to preserve regional stability.

Chaudhry also clarified the purpose of the Makkah Alliance, a partnership involving Pakistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye. He stated that the alliance and the associated Makkah Accord are purely defensive, focusing specifically on the defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Harmain Sharifian rather than the identification of enemies.
