Iran Showcases Underground Missile City to Threaten Hormuz Blockade

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps released footage via state media showcasing an extensive arsenal of naval weaponry housed within an underground missile city. The unveiled armaments include Abadil-2/3 and Shahed-136 kamikaze drones, Zolfaqar autonomous swarm boats, and various anti-ship cruise missiles, including the Ghadir, Nasr-1, and Khalij Fars models, alongside sea mines.

Iran is using the display to threaten a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Brig. Gen. Ali Fadavi, deputy commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated that the military possesses missiles capable of being fired from underwater and may deploy them in the coming days.

While the Iranian regime presents the facility as a protected hub for coastal defense, some observers have questioned the authenticity of the footage, suggesting the images may be outdated or AI-generated.
