ADNOC Reports 15 Vessel Attacks in Strait of Hormuz

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) reported Friday that missile and drone attacks in the Strait of Hormuz have targeted 15 of its vessels since the start of the conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. Three of these attacks occurred within the current week, resulting in one death and 20 injuries among crew members.

Iran has effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for approximately one-fifth of global energy exports. In response to these growing risks, ADNOC is implementing measures to protect its personnel, assets, and operations. The company called for the respect of freedom of navigation to ensure the stability of energy supply chains and the uninterrupted passage of commercial shipping.

Despite the challenging environment, ADNOC continues to pursue growth and meet customer requirements. The company recently announced $6.2 billion in investments for the Umm Shaif gas cap project and plans to award Dh200 billion in project contracts over the next three years.
