Governor Ododo Inaugurates Confluence Lube Factory in Lokoja
Governor Ahmed Ododo opened the Confluence Lube lubricant blending and packaging factory in Lokoja, providing the owner a three-year state levy waiver.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State inaugurated the Confluence Lube lubricant blending and packaging factory on Sunday in Lokoja. The facility, owned by Godec Power Nigeria Ltd, produces plastic containers as well as transmission oils and engine oils for diesel and petrol engines.
To encourage the industrial investment, the Kogi State government granted Godec Power Nigeria Ltd a three-year waiver on several annual state levies, including the Environmental Levy and the Land Use Charge. During the ceremony, Governor Ododo credited the economic reforms of President Bola Tinubu for creating an environment that supports private sector investment and industrialization.
Chief Okechukwu Obika, Managing Director and Chairman of Godec Power Nigeria Ltd, reported that the factory has already generated 100 direct and more than 200 indirect jobs. He projected that employment will increase to 300 direct and 1,000 indirect jobs once the facility reaches full operational capacity.
