United States Designates IRGC as Foreign Terrorist Organization

The Federal government of the United States has designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a foreign terrorist organization, marking a strategic shift toward a determinative confrontation with the group. This policy move transitions U.S. efforts from pursuing criminal indictments for sanctions evasion to recognizing the IRGC as a controlling force within the Iranian government that actively seeks nuclear weapons and ballistic missile capabilities.
