A ballistic missile attack struck the ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih steel plant in Ukraine on Saturday, killing two contractors and injuring two employees. The strike targeted ironmaking complex #1, forcing a pause in primary steel production. While some parts of the facility remain idle or operate at minimum capacity, specialist teams are assessing the damage to determine a repair timeline.
This incident is the second missile strike on the facility in five weeks. A previous attack in mid-August killed two people and injured at least 13 others, causing significant damage to the plant's main energy complex and blast furnace production.
The facility employs over 14,000 workers and is located approximately 100 kilometers from the front line.
