Anthropic Launches Personal Finance Beta for Claude Users

Anthropic released a beta personal finance tool for Claude subscribers in the United States to analyze bank and card account data using natural language.

Anthropic launched a beta personal finance feature for its Claude chatbot on November 5, 2026, for paid subscribers in the United States. Available to users on Pro, Max, and Ultra plans, the tool allows individuals to link bank and credit card accounts to query balances, track spending, and monitor bills using natural language.

The system utilizes Plaid to establish secure, read-only access to account details and up to two years of transaction history. Users can identify duplicate charges, calculate interest, and generate visual aids such as spending charts and payment calendars. Anthropic specified that the tool cannot move, manage, or invest money, nor is it designed to provide investment advice.

To ensure privacy, the company stated that conversations within the personal finance hub are not used to train its AI models and the service contains no ads or sponsored recommendations. Anthropic cautioned users to verify important figures with their banks and is currently seeking partnerships with licensed financial professionals and regulated firms for future expansions. The rollout occurs as the company prepares for an initial public offering.
