Hyundai Unveils 2027 Tucson with AI Tech and XRT Pro Trim
Hyundai revealed the fifth-generation 2027 Tucson compact SUV featuring a redesigned exterior, AI-powered infotainment, and a new off-road XRT Pro trim.
Hyundai Motor Company revealed the fifth-generation 2027 Tucson compact SUV, introducing a larger and more angular exterior design termed Art of Steel. The redesigned model increases in length, width, and height, which expands rear-seat passenger space and increases cargo capacity to approximately 42 cubic feet.
The vehicle lineup features a base turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four engine producing between 184 and 187 horsepower. A hybrid option provides up to 242 horsepower and a combined fuel economy of 42 mpg for front-wheel-drive models. Hyundai is introducing the XRT Pro off-road trim, which includes skid plates, all-terrain tires, and increased ground clearance.
Interior updates center on the Pleos Connect infotainment system, which integrates an AI assistant and offers touchscreen displays in 12.9-inch or 17-inch sizes. While the company is considering future range-extender powertrains, the plug-in hybrid version will not be available in the United States for the 2027 model year. The 2027 Tucson is expected to reach U.S. dealerships in early 2027.
