Ilham Aliyev Visits Kyrgyzstan to Strengthen Strategic Partnership
President Ilham Aliyev conducted a state visit to Kyrgyzstan to inaugurate a new resort and solidify strategic ties with Central Asian leaders.
Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, conducted a state visit to Kyrgyzstan from July 30 to 31, 2026. The diplomatic mission focused on regional integration and the formalization of a strategic partnership, culminating in the exchange of signed documents between the two nations.
While in Cholpon-Ata, Aliyev participated in an informal meeting with other Central Asian presidents and attended an awards ceremony alongside the president of Kyrgyzstan. He also inaugurated the Baku Resort & Spa Hotel, located on the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake.
First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva accompanied the president and visited the Altyn Balalyk Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cholpon-Ata during the trip.
