B&M Bargains Relocates and Refurbishes Stores in Carmarthen and Sunderland
B&M Bargains is closing and relocating stores in Carmarthen and Sunderland this August to facilitate expansion and refurbishment works.
B&M Bargains is implementing a series of temporary closures and relocations across the United Kingdom in August 2026 to facilitate site expansions and refurbishments. The retailer aims to provide a "bigger and better B&M experience" through these updates, following recent renovations at locations in Leicester, Stockport, and Pentwyn.
In Carmarthen, south-west Wales, the store will close its Hall Street location on August 15. It will relocate to a larger former B&Q building on Glanyrafon Road, with the new Parc Pensam store scheduled to open on August 22. Because the Hall Street unit is one of the largest retail spaces in the town center, the move is expected to impact the local high street.
In Sunderland, the store at Hylton Riverside Retail Park will close for refurbishment on August 16. This location is also scheduled to reopen on August 22.
