Micron Launches $250 Million AI Paradigm Fund

Micron Technology established a $250 million investment fund targeting AI startups while several billionaire investors reduced their holdings in the company.

Micron Technology launched the Micron Ventures Paradigm Fund, a $250 million investment vehicle designed to target startups across the AI technology stack. This third and largest fund from Micron Ventures increases the unit's total capital commitment to $550 million.

The fund focuses on four primary domains: compute, enterprise AI applications, physical AI, and AI model architecture and data infrastructure. Rene Hartner, Vice President of Corporate Development at Micron, stated the fund aims to partner with startups driving innovations in high-performance memory and storage solutions.

Simultaneously, regulatory Form 13F filings indicate that eight billionaire money managers reduced or exited their positions in the company during the second quarter of 2026. These investors, including Citadel Advisors and Millennium Management, likely engaged in profit-taking after the company's stock rose 228% year-to-date and reached a trillion-dollar market capitalization.
