Twilio Cuts Campaign Research Time Using AI Workflows

Twilio reduced account research and content creation time from two weeks to one day by integrating AI into shared team workflows.

Twilio reduced the time required for account research and personalized content creation from over two weeks to less than one day by implementing AI within shared team workflows. This operational shift allows the company to execute up to 15 account-based campaigns per quarter, a significant increase from its previous average of three.

Company leadership describes this progress as phase two of AI adoption, a stage where teams partner with AI through reengineered processes. This differs from phase three, which the company defines as fully autonomous end-to-end workflows at scale.

Twilio attributes these gains to a focus on infrastructure foundations, including data hygiene, brand cohesion, governance, and integration. The company warns that neglecting these elements can lead to production failures. This development follows comments from CEO Khozema Z Shipchandler in August, who characterized the company's AI adoption at that time as being at batting practice.
