Canadian Ministers Host Ontario Events to Highlight Budget 2026

Canadian government ministers are hosting a series of events across Ontario to showcase federal budget investments in affordability, housing, and homelessness.

The Government of Canada is conducting a series of promotional events across Ontario to highlight specific allocations from Budget 2026. These events focus on increasing affordability for citizens and addressing the national housing and homelessness crises.

On November 7, Minister Valdez hosted an event at the Birch Place lobby in Brampton, organized by Women and Gender Equality Canada, to showcase investments in housing and homelessness. Simultaneously, Julie Dabrusin, Minister of the Environment, Climate Change and Nature, led a site visit at the Toronto Community Housing Regent Park Revitalization project in Toronto to highlight similar federal funding for housing.

The promotional tour continues on November 9 in Markham. Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health Maggie Chi and Member of Parliament Michael Ma will host an event at T&T Supermarket to discuss federal budget investments aimed at building a more resilient and independent economy while increasing affordability for Canadians.
