Wiltshire Council Closes Malmesbury Roads for Utility Work

Wiltshire Council closed Bremilham Road and Pool Gastons Road in Malmesbury starting Monday, July 27, 2026. The closures are scheduled to last approximately 21 days, with work expected to finish by August 16.

The restrictions enable Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks to perform essential supply disconnection and associated utility works. The closure on Bremilham Road extends from Bristol Street to Pool Gastons Road, while a 27-metre section of Pool Gastons Road is closed south-west of its junction with Bremilham Road.

Diversion routes have been established for all traffic. The council stated that access for local residents and businesses will be maintained where possible during the construction period.
