Iran Shifts Military Strategy to Offensive Doctrine

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is reorganizing its structure and leadership to adopt an offensive doctrine, shifting away from a strategy primarily focused on national defense. General Mohammad Reza Naqdi announced that the military will now seek to take operations into enemy territory when conditions are favorable. To increase operational speed and real-time data integration, Iran is integrating the Khatam ol-Anbiya Central Headquarters into the General Staff.

Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has installed hardline officers in key security roles, appointing Mohsen Rezaee to lead the Supreme National Security Council and Ahmad Vahidi as commander of the guards. Vahidi has advocated for avenging the death of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and vowed to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed as long as the United States conducts hostile actions.

General Naqdi asserted that ballistic missile production currently exceeds usage rates, ensuring the capability to sustain a protracted conflict. He stated that the military would continue firing missiles at the enemy even if a war were to continue for years.
