Bharti Airtel Overtakes Jio Platforms in Market Valuation
Bharti Airtel became India's second most valuable listed company after strong second-quarter financial results pushed its market capitalization above Jio Platforms.
Bharti Airtel reclaimed its position as India's second most valuable listed company by market capitalization on November 6, 2026. The telecom operator reached a market valuation of approximately Rs 13 trillion, overtaking Jio Platforms, which ended the day at Rs 12.94 trillion.
The valuation surge followed the release of strong second-quarter financial results for the period ending September 2026. These results showed a significant increase in consolidated profit and average revenue per user (ARPU). While Bharti Airtel now leads in revenue, profit, and ARPU, Jio Platforms continues to maintain a larger customer base and higher net profit margins.
Reliance Industries remains the most valued domestic firm in India. The current market capitalization rankings place Reliance Industries first, followed by Bharti Airtel, Jio Platforms, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank.
